The project I am currently working on right now is to help the foster children in my area. I plan to get bags with little things inside them that each foster child can have of their own. The way I am doing this is by contacting DHS, the state Rep, finding grants, and fundraising to earn the money. I want to make a change for this kids in my area that do not having anything of their own. I think it is sad when all kids have is trash bags to move their belonging in. They do have a Facebook page of people around the world fundraising for other foster kids if you would like to visit it and let the kids know you care too! I have raised enough money to be able to order 37 bags, I Had my cheer team help me decorate most of them and still working on putting them together. Once the bags are all done, I will be finding a wonderful home for them with great children. I have finished my project with a total of 70 bags donated to DHS for foster kids in Dickinson County.
For my second semester 20% Time project I changed it up a bit. Jamie LaCount and I decided to reorganize, clean and get rid of everything that wasn't needed and old.
